Advocating for the Forgotten Farmer: Our Push for Land Rights & Access
Farmers struggle without land tenure, finance, or policy support. That’s why Agro Tech Liberia is stepping up with advocacy campaigns focused on inclusion and equity.
During an April roundtable in Monrovia, 30 rural farmers—many women—met with policymakers to discuss crucial issues: land rights, affordable credit, and public extension services.
We collected formal commitments from the Ministry of Agriculture to pilot a youth-led credit facility and pledged to support national land registration processes.
Next steps include training community paralegals, promoting local billboards on land rights, and building a farmer-driven advocacy network across five counties.
